Apparently Pat Robertson recently advocated assassinating the president of Venezuala. Is this the message that we want to be sending to the world?

Here is some good perspective on the whole thing...
Yeah, I don't think that Pat Robertson is a loony, or a religious zealot. I think that he made an emotional comment without really thinking it through. His level of influence is great enough that a brash comment could have dire consequences (ie - a right wing extremist arming themselves and killing the president of Venezuala). I'm also not saying Chavez is a saint. What I'm saying is that as a Christian who stands in the spotlight of the world, Pat needs to be careful what comes out of his mouth.
If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. (James 1.26)
