New Job

The long awaited post! I'm now a FTE employee of Microsoft! Yip!

I am working as a Operations Program Manager for the Strategic Prototyping team under Craig Mundie. Ok, what does that mean? Basically, Craig is the chief visionary of Microsoft, shouldering a lot of weight as Bill Gates steps down from day-to-day involvement in the company to devote himself full-time to his philanthropic pursuits. Our team exists to create compelling demos for Craig to demonstrate during his different presentations around the world. My role within that team is to provide end-to-end logistical and technical support for the demos as they travel. (ie - I may be heading to Jakarta, Indonesia in the beginning of May for a presentation on the future of health care) Craig is looking 5-10 years out at where technology will be taking us.

Obviously, this is a really, really, really cool job and I'm going to be greatly challenged in this new role. I plan to keep this blog updated with the latest and greatest cool techie stuff as I hear about it (as much as I'm allowed to!).
