Mountain Men
Last Saturday Tom and I found our way up the 3-mile trek to Mason Lake in the Cascades. A very nice hike, in spite of the cloud that got stuck on the mountaintop, and of course the company was stellar. At the lake we jumped in and swam out to the middle, opening our eyes under water and staring down into the crystalline melon-green depths.

Except wouldn't that hurt your eyes, to expose them to all of the algae and microorganisms underwater? But the lake looks absolutely beautiful; I like the fog over it.

I have to say, that lake looks stellar.
